Shaun Reflects

Sounds odd, but I always wanted to play in a band. Since I was a small kid doing the "stance" in front of the mirror, tennis racket as a guitar, hair brush forward and glancing side ways to see my reflection, with the smouldering look and a "ah hu ah hu" I had began the long road to my dreams.

The road is always paved with disappointments, what if's, what the hell happened there?, what did I do that for? Or even shall I try that next week!!

There are the highs, the lows, the hours and hours of practice, art for art's sake attitude that keeps pushing you just to achieve that last "twiddley bit" at the end of the tune that you've spent the last fortnight working on

But the biggest downer of all is being let down at the last minute, like this weekend by being doubled booked at a local gig, all the preperation, all the time spend getting ready and all the people that were coming to see us, what a let down

Lets hope they get their act together
